Description
You will never see this again. Every year trains transported circus animals to the train yard in Long Island City, Queens. The Train yard is across the street from the Queens Midtown Tunnel. In the middle of the night the elephants would be marched through the tunnel to Manhattan. They would then be fed and then marched to Madison Square Garden where the would perform in The Ringling Bros and Barnum and Bailey Circus. Animal right groups forced the circus to stop using elephants in their shows. Attendance Dropped to low levels, forcing the Circus to shut down.
